What is metabolism?
Metabolism is a medical term that describes all the chemical reactions connected to maintain organism and living condition of cells. Metabolism can be easily divided into two categories in medical science. Catabolism and Anabolism.
Metabolism, a chemical process of living things changes the foods into materials and energy for a steady growth. It is closely connected to the nutrition issues. Otherwise, the biogenetics is a kind of thing that describes the metabolic passageway in which our cells obtain energy.
So, energy formation in our body system is one of the vital components of the metabolism. This is why, metabolism keeps an important role for growth of a living things on the earth.
Relation between metabolism, nutrition and energy
Nutrition, a healthful diet is a key component to metabolism. The pipelines of metabolism is dependent on the nutrients that they breakdown foods in pieces in order to produce a sufficient amount of energy from foodstuff.
And, energy is very much required to the body to produce new proteins and nucleic acids (RNA, DNA) etc. Because the nutrients have close relation to metabolism.
On the other hand, nutrients have important roles when they supply energy and necessary chemicals that our body cannot synthesis it. We know that foods provide a variety of elements that need to build up our body tissues and other significant functioning of the body.
Roles of carbohydrates in metabolism

It is clear to us that, foodstuff supplies carbohydrates for our body in three forms-sugar, cellulose and starch.

Hence, they are an indispensable part of every cell in our body. Because proteins help to shape, function and form hemoglobin to pass oxygen, enzymes etc. Otherwise, the other main function of proteins is supplying nitrogen for RNA and DNA.
The function of minerals and vitamins in metabolism
Foods that contain minerals do not synthesis energy directly to our body. But it needs the metabolic pathways to receive the energy from foods.
According to the medical science, more than 50 elements are present in living beings. And, more than 25 elements are considered as most essential for body. The name list shows you the possible elements in mineral- calcium, iron, phosphorus, sodium, chloride ions, copper, potassium, cobalt, manganese, iodine, zinc and fluorine.
No doubt, vitamins are essential components for our body to function well. we know that our body cannot produce vitamins by itself but metabolism helps that include vitamin A, niacin acid, pantothenic acid and vitamin B2.
